Kellie Garrett

Kellie Garrett is a coach, speaker and consultant on leadership, strategy, organizational culture and employee engagement. She also provides training to Boards on these topics. Kellie occupied executive positions for 15 years, culminating as Senior VP, Strategy, Knowledge and Reputation at Farm Credit Canada (FCC), a $27B federal commercial Crown. Her experience spans business strategy, enterprise risk management, marketing communications, brand, team and individual coaching, and culture. During her tenure at FCC, she led her teams to more than 100 national and international awards, primarily in marketing communications.

Kellie is passionate about helping others reach their potential by enhancing professional and personal leadership skills through individual and team coaching, speeches and consulting. Known for her candour, warmth and humour, she loves helping people get out of their own way.

Kellie holds a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University (2005) and completed Harvard Business School’s two-month Advanced Management Program in 2006. Awards include IABC Fellow from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Humanitarian of the Year (Saskatchewan) from the Canadian Red Cross (2014), Top 25 Women of Influence (2012), Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award for fundraising for Dress for Success Regina (2012), Master Communicator (2010) from IABC Canada, and Canada’s 100 Powerful Women (2007).

In 2013, she was included on the Canadian Board Diversity Council's "Diversity 50" list, a group of 50 individuals who are deemed to be corporate board-ready. She holds the Institute Certified Director Designation (ICD.D) from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business. Garrett is Chair of Women Entrepreneurs Saskatchewan, Institute of Certified Directors Executive Board for Saskatchewan, Autism Resource Centre, and Vice-Chair of the International Coach Federation’s Saskatchewan Chapter.

She believes strongly in giving back to community. Her favourite causes are Dress for Success and autism. One of her two grown sons has autism.

She is an avid flower gardener, aspiring writer and voracious reader. A lifelong hedonist, she is a now a fitness aficionado and wellness seeker who still quaffs wine.
